Jurassic Park Builder iPhone App Review

You’ve seen the movies and you love the idea of bringing dinosaurs back to life in a modern world.  Well, with this app you can!  Use dinosaur DNA from prehistoric amber to recreate the Jurassic period, growing several species of dinosaurs that include top predators such as the Tyrannosaurus and the Velociraptor.  You start with tiny dino eggs and grow them carefully with a special diet so that they can grow into big and strong adult dinosaurs.  As the park manager it is your job to make sure that the park has everything it needs to thrive and remain safe for park visitors and guests.

Build enclosures to keep the dinosaurs safely contained, roads for your park guests to travel on in their prehistoric adventure of a lifetime, and monitor the import of foods and other supplies in order to keep the park growing.  You design the layout of your park and choose where to place each dinosaur as you enlarge the prehistoric attraction.  Decorate the park anyway you like with a wide variety of structures, fences, and plant life while completing missions with the help of characters from the movie.  It will take all of your skills to keep the dinosaurs from breaking out of their enclosures and creating total chaos in your park!

This is a social game so invite your friends to create their own dino park and work together to accomplish missions, sell your dinosaurs, and send each other materials.  Users will discover that previous issues have been addressed and fixed in the new version, 1.1.0.  For example, you won’t have any problems with the app crashing during the game setup and you can now reactivate the meat harbor lock.  Grow 5 carnivores to unlock the Code Red feature, which gives you the power to keep those dinosaurs locked up in their enclosures.

  • grow up to 30 different species of dinosaurs
  • 3-D animation
  • multi-players
  • build restaurants, hotels, and amusement centers for guests
  • special missions
  • stability issues fixed

Jurassic Park Builder is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch (3rd and 4th generation), and iPad with an iOS of 4.2 or later.  It takes up 74.1 MB of space on your device and is free to download but will require internet access for social interaction with friends through Facebook and the game itself.

If you love dinosaurs you will absolutely love this app and will find that you can spend hours entertaining yourself with the care and monitoring of your unique menagerie.  The graphics are amazing and the missions will keep you busy when you’re not occupied with the regular duties associated with managing your park.  Users give this app a 4.5 out of 5 stars rating.

Readability – New Reading Platform App for iPhone Review

If you constantly have problems with reading web pages and you are tired of having to maneuver them around your screen, then you will definitely want to check out an app for the iPhone called Readability. Readability clears up web pages for the iPhone viewer so that you can read them easily and without having to constantly touch your screen to see the next section of text.  The app takes web pages and re-formats them into a clean, single column, making them more iPhone friendly.  Now you can read newspapers, online novels, blogs, and other text by simply scrolling down with your finger.  Choose your margins, contrasts, and type size for a customized experience that makes reading online content more enjoyable.

The app also lets you store web pages for later reading, giving you the choice of reading when you have more time.  This means that you won’t have to remember where that webpage was or try to locate it later.  You simply give the command and the app will save the page to your web browser.  You can keep it for as long as you like, making it a great tool if you want to save it for research or reference it later on.  If you want to share the article with business colleagues or friends, a simple tap lets you post it to your favorite social network or you can send it as an attachment in an email.  The app gives you the ability to store as many web pages as you want and even creates a searchable archive so that you can recall them at any time.

Features in the newest 1.1.0 version of Readability include:

  • faster reading list sync
  • double tap to move pages up and down
  • no more reader fees as of June 30, 2012

Overall, this is a great free app to download onto your iPhone that will make it easier for you to read web pages and their content.  We think that you will like the faster processing capability of the app and enjoy the archive feature, as well as the power to customize your reading experience by choosing your preferred formatting specs.

Lazy Snakes

As the title suggests, this game app has you feed really lazy snakes. These snakes are so lazy they can’t even feed themselves. In this puzzle games, you go through a number of levels, going through obstacles to feed the snakes are lazily enjoying their chill time. It’s a puzzle game that really has you think through as you shoot the good that will feed the snakes. You can’t blame the snakes so just feed them.

Lazy Snakes features gameplay which is almost similar to games like Puzzle Bobble and Angry Birds where you have to shoot the food for the snakes to eat. The game also features intricate level designs that will test your skills in making sure you get the food to the snakes. It features over 72 levels, it has a money system that lets you purchase the levels to make a progress, a weapon system that lets you use bombs that will blow obstacles and many more. There are also special elements that add much to the game. Think of this game as Angry Birds that involves feeding the rats to the snakes.

Lazy Snakes is very easy to play on the first levels but becomes quite difficult in the later levels, especially with the elements added. But it makes it challenging and fun. There are also walkthrough videos for this game so if you find it hard to play, you can always check them out to play through the harder levels. Because of this, Lazy Snakes gets a rating of 4 out of 5.

SPY Mouse

*Cue in James Bond music* He’s fast. He’s swift. He’s cool. He’s… a mouse? Get ready to play some fast-paced, cheese-capturing gameplay with SPY Mouse. SPY Mouse is a game where you lead the Agent Squeak  by getting the cheese spread out through the 72 levels of the game. You must lead the mouse to the cheese and also lead him back to mouse hole to enjoy his prize and to give to his fellow mice.

SPY Mouse’s gameplay involves you swiping a path with your finger to get the cheese and to escape to the mouse hole. It’s easy to do in the first levels but when the cats are out to play, you’ll have to deviate away from them. The game features various gizmos and gadgets that will hamper their way from you. It features 72 levels spread through 6 worlds that will test your might and logic. It also features achievements that you can share with everyone on your Facebook.

SPY Mouse is very easy to pick-up-and-play. As you progress through the game, you’ll have a myriad of gadgets to help you out so you’ll be able to get through the tough levels. There are some issues with the game such as glitches that might affect you, especially in progress and it might crash on certain Android devices. But the game is still fun and hopefully, you may be able to get yours working. SPY Mouse gets a rating of 3 out of 5.

Friendly for Facebook

Friendly for Facebook is an app that redesigns Facebook to make use of everything on the iPad. Instead of just putting Facebook in it, it makes it iPad friendly and adds more features to make it a great Facebook experience. It’s an app that finally lets you use Facebook on the iPad the way you always wanted and more.

Friendly for Facebook features everything Facebook has such as uploading pictures, making status updates and more. But it adds tons of features that make it a unique experience for people who use Facebook. Besides featuring the chat option and uploading photos, it lets you customize your Facebook profile however you want it. It also features the ability to switch between multiple accounts so you don’t have to log out every now and then. It also lets you add effects to your photos without the use of a third-party software. There are more features that give you a personalized Facebook experience.

Friendly for Facebook is daunting to use but you’ll have the hang of it once you get used to it. There’s a lot of things you can do to really personalize your Facebook on Friendly so take your time and you’ll be able to make profiles that are really yours. But there are times Friendly isn’t quite friendly at all. As reported by some users, the app sometimes crashes and certain features such as notifications don’t work as well as the original version. In my experience, I found the app to be slow to respond. There was a time it worked well but now it doesn’t work so well. I do like the features but so far, the issues of lag haven’t been solved. I rate this app 3 out of 5.
